Overview:

McDermott, Will and Emery wanted an upscale renovation to reflect their status as a leading law firm. They selected uTwin for our ability to handle exacting requirements, extensive renovations and fine detailing.

Prior to construction a Critical Path Construction Schedule was developed to coordinate the phased construction and keep the client informed of progress day-by-day.

Construction included installing elements from vaulted ceilings and custom-bronze elevator doors to built-in planters and inlaid marble flooring. Among the many finishes were gold gilt, bronze detailing on balustrades and custom millwork.

Twin performed extensive work in occupied areas:

  • The law library, a 24-hour facility, remained open while we expanded four bays.
  • The 24-hour word processing center stayed in operation during expansion.
  • The receptionist’s station continued to serve visitors while we renovated the surrounding area and elevator lobby.

We incorporated $250,000 of additional work requested by the client – and still completed this elegant, custom project on schedule.
