Twin Employee Retirement - Robin Crangle
An employee since 1992, Robin was appointed the position of Comptroller in 2009. Robin assumed many roles during her tenure at Twin to include the office management and accounting division.
We share the words that were written on her plaque:

Twin new hire, Comptroller - Sandra Wilt
We welcome Sandra Wilt as Robin Crangle's successor for the Comptroller position as Robin retires. Sandra arrives with 12 years of experience working with a custom home builder and developer. Sandra will be responsible for coordinating, planning, and reporting on the financial activities of Twin.

Twin new hires, Two Senior Project Managers and a Marketing Coordinator
Buddy Donaldson has rejoined Twin as Senior Project Manager. Donaldson has 36 years of experience in the healthcare and government sector with an emphasis on SCIF construction. He will be responsible for government associated construction.
Thomas O’Shaughnessy joined Twin as Senior Project Manager. O’Shaughnessy has more than 27 years experience in general and construction management. He will be responsible for overseeing projects in the banking, financial and government sector.
Denise “DJ” Cleary joined Twin as Marketing Coordinator. Cleary previously worked for a construction company also in a marketing capacity. Prior to the construction industry Cleary spent many years in the real estate and hotel/restaurant management business.

Twin 25 Year Anniversary!
25 Years! Since opening our doors in 1984 we have handled over 4,300 construction projects and 4,000 service projects, $585M in sales, grown from 5 employees to our current 58 and now handle diverse market segments to include Healthcare, Commercial Interiors, Religious, Banking & Financial Institutions, Educational Institutions, Government and Specialty.
We remain in our same location in Alexandria since our beginning but our office has expanded to over 13,000 Sq, Ft. as our growth demanded.

Construction Well Under Way on Spotsylvania Medical Office Building
Construction is well under way on the new 52,000-square foot medical office building called The Health Plex at Lees Hill. The three-story facility will connect to an existing structure, the Professional Office Building at Lees Hill.
The new building will include a state-of-the-art, free-standing emergency department. The site is close to Interstate 95, ensuring Spotsylvania County citizens will have quick access to emergency care.
Twin Contracting was solicited by the building owner in the summer of 2007, who requested an accelerated schedule. Work began immediately, providing pre-construction services and working closely with the architects on constructability and budgeting.
The Spotsylvania County Planning and Building Department fast-tracked the permitting process, allowing Twin to begin rapid development. The project is slated for completion before the 2008 flu season is in full swing.

Twin’s President Receives Lifetime Membership in Strathmore’s Who’s Who
Paul Thomas, President of Twin Contracting was selected as a Lifetime member in Strathmore’s Who’s Who. Acceptance is limited to individuals who have demonstrated leadership, achievement and dedication in their occupation, industry or profession.

Twin Contracting Nominated for Contractor of the Year
Twin Contracting was one of three General Contractors nominated for the category of Outstanding General Contractor, Tenant Interior Build Out, at the DC Metropolitan Subcontractors Association’s SUBBY Awards. The awards ceremony took place on February 9th and was held at the Ritz-Carlton in Tyson’s Corner. The competition was stiff, and while Twin did not prevail, the prestigious nomination serves as a testament to the quality of services our firm provides to the subcontractor community.

Potomac Hospital Boulevard Opens to the Public
Twin Contracting has just completed the Potomac Boulevard, a contemporary addition to Potomac Hospital. The Boulevard is a mall-type internal connector which will give patients, visitors and employees a convenient way to travel between buildings in the medical complex. Be watching for details of the project, coming soon in our Healthcare Portfolio section.
